What Advai offers, and what it publishes
Advai is software that tests AI systems on six measures: performance, security, safety, robustness, auditability and stability. It works in three stages: attack testing before launch, choosing between models on the numbers, and live monitoring for drift, safety and cost. Advai says it only tests other organisations' AI and does not sell AI models of its own.
Advai does not publish a price, tier or cost range. Buyers contact sales. It is a supplier on the UK government's G-Cloud marketplace, with no rate card there either. It does not publish a SOC 2 or ISO 27001 certificate for its own systems, liability terms or an uptime commitment.
The UK government's gov.uk portfolio of AI assurance techniques carries two Advai case studies. Advai says it has supported the UK AI Safety Institute and run an AI Live Testing initiative with the Financial Conduct Authority. The site pages we read did not name its leaders. We found chief executive David Sully on Crunchbase.
Strengths
- Two of its case studies feature in the UK government's Portfolio of AI Assurance Techniques.
- Reported engagement with the FCA's 'AI Live Testing' initiative and work supporting the UK AI Safety Institute, evidencing regulator-facing credibility
- States it does not sell competing AI models or solutions, positioning itself as a vendor-neutral tester rather than a party with a stake in the systems it evaluates
Things to check
- No SOC 2, ISO 27001 or other independently audited security certification for Advai's own systems was found published on its website.
- No pricing information, tiers or indicative cost ranges are published anywhere on the public site; prospective buyers must contact sales directly.
- Its About page does not introduce the leadership team.
Common questions
Is Advai's pricing published?
No. There is no pricing page on advai.com, and its G-Cloud listing shows no rate card. Buyers contact sales.
Is Advai a consultancy?
No. Advai sells a licensed testing and monitoring product, Advai Insight, rather than general compliance advice.
Does Advai sell its own AI models?
It says not. Advai states it only tests, evaluates and monitors other organisations' AI systems, and does not sell competing AI models or solutions.
Has a UK government body recognised Advai?
Yes. The gov.uk portfolio of AI assurance techniques carries two Advai case studies. These are case studies, not a certification. Advai also says it has supported the UK AI Safety Institute and run AI Live Testing with the Financial Conduct Authority.

Notes behind each thing to check
- No SOC 2, ISO 27001 or other independently audited security certification for Advai's own systems was found published on its website. (advai.com's homepage and company content describe its industry focus and testing methodology but display no vendor security-certification badges.)
- No pricing information, tiers or indicative cost ranges are published anywhere on the public site; prospective buyers must contact sales directly. (No pricing page exists among the advai.com pages reviewed; only contact and demo-request paths are shown.)
- Its About page does not introduce the leadership team. (https://www.advai.com/about, checked 2026-10-13, describes the company without introducing a leadership team. Journal bylines elsewhere are not treated as leadership biographies.)
| Criterion | Score | Evidence |
|---|---|---|
| Help when things go wrong | The gov.uk case study explicitly documents that Advai Insight tracks compliance and risk, continually monitors for fairness deviations, and informs decisions to retrain, hold, withdraw or redeploy models, though it is not described in granular audit-log-export terms. | |
| Qualifications of the people who do the work | CEO David Sully and co-founder Chris Jefferson are identifiable via third-party sources but not clearly named on advai.com itself, and no independently audited vendor security certification such as SOC 2 or ISO 27001 was found disclosed. | |
| What it publishes about fees | No pricing figures or ranges are published anywhere on the reviewed site. | |
| Knowledge of your sector | Named, detailed sector use cases for insurance (claims processing, underwriting, fraud detection, customer communications) are published, alongside a stated focus on financial services, healthcare and defence. | |
| Independence from what it sells | Advai's methodology and product capabilities are documented as case studies within the UK government's own gov.uk AI assurance techniques portfolio, which is closer to independent third-party validation than self-declared marketing, though it is a government-hosted case study rather than a formal certification. | |
| Who carries the risk if the advice is wrong | No liability cap, indemnification terms or SLA/uptime commitment were found published on the site. |
