What Ametros Group offers, and what it publishes

Ametros Group publishes price ranges. Advisory projects cost £2,000 to £15,000, a fractional or outsourced role £900 to £3,500 a month, certification readiness £3,000 to £12,000 per certification, and ongoing compliance £6,000 to £25,000 a year. Ametros says its DPOs are its own employees, not subcontractors, and it keeps sector pages for finance, law, construction, education and recruitment.

Ametros Group does not publish exact prices. The pricing page sends you to ask for a tailored quote. It does not name its consultants or their qualifications. It describes the team only as specialists in law, IT, risk and governance. It does not publish its indemnity cover or liability terms.

We saw no software promoted alongside its advice. Its DPO service also covers acting as a firm's EU or UK representative for data protection, with ongoing oversight through a method it calls CompliCycle. Jamie Richards and Karl Mark Wood have been its directors since it began in 2015.

Strengths

  • Publishes indicative price ranges for advisory projects, fractional roles, certification readiness and continuous compliance, more pricing transparency than most peers checked
  • States its DPO service uses directly-employed DPOs rather than subcontracted third parties
  • Maintains dedicated sector pages for financial services, legal services, construction, education and recruitment

Things to check

  • No individually named consultants or their specific professional credentials, such as CIPP or law qualifications, are published on the consultancy or DPO service pages
  • No professional indemnity insurance or liability terms are disclosed on the site pages reviewed
  • Published prices are broad ranges, for example £2,000 to £15,000 for advisory projects, rather than a worked rate card, so a specific engagement cannot be priced from the site alone

Common questions

Does Ametros Group publish its fees?

Yes, as ranges. Advisory projects run from £2,000 to £15,000 and outsourced roles from £900 to £3,500 a month. An exact cost needs a tailored quote.

Are Ametros Group's DPOs subcontracted?

The firm says not. It states its DPO service is delivered by DPOs 'fully employed by them', not outsourced to third parties.

Notes behind each thing to check

  • No individually named consultants or their specific professional credentials, such as CIPP or law qualifications, are published on the consultancy or DPO service pages (The data privacy consultancy page describes the team only in general terms ('specialists in law, IT, risk, and governance') without naming staff)
  • No professional indemnity insurance or liability terms are disclosed on the site pages reviewed (No PI insurer, cover level or liability terms were found on the consultancy, pricing or DPO service pages)
  • Published prices are broad ranges, for example £2,000 to £15,000 for advisory projects, rather than a worked rate card, so a specific engagement cannot be priced from the site alone (The pricing page presents four broad bands and directs visitors to 'Get a Tailored Quote' for an actual cost)
