What TÜV UK offers, and what it publishes

TÜV UK audits and certifies AI management systems to ISO/IEC 42001, and UKAS accredits it for this in schedule 0065, issue 059, dated 8 June 2026. The same schedule covers ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO/IEC 27001. A signed impartiality policy says the certification body does not provide consultancy.

TÜV UK does not publish a price. Its certification pages offer only a bespoke quote, with no rate card or pricing method. It does not name its lead auditors or publish their ISO 42001 qualifications. It does publish a liability cap of £5,000,000 and a complaints procedure.

TÜV UK has an engineering and industrial background. UKAS separately accredits it as an inspection body and as an approved body for pressure equipment, and it lists sectors from automotive to retail. Its complaints procedure has staff not involved in the original work decide complaints, with a target of an interim reply within 2 working days.

Strengths

  • Live UKAS accreditation (Schedule 0065, Issue No. 059, 8 June 2026) explicitly covering AIMS to ISO/IEC 42001:2023, confirmed directly from the published UKAS schedule PDF
  • Explicit £5,000,000 liability cap and a documented Complaints Procedure disclosed in public Terms & Conditions
  • Signed, dated Impartiality Policy Statement (GOP029) from the Managing Director confirming no consultancy services are offered alongside certification
  • Named sector focus (automotive & aerospace, construction, electronics, energy & utilities, food & beverage, IT, manufacturing, retail) plus separate UKAS-approved-body status for pressure equipment and construction products

Things to check

  • No published price list, rate card or fee calculator for ISO/IEC 42001 certification; the certification pages only offer a bespoke quote request
  • No named lead auditors or AIMS-specific auditor credentials are published on the public site, so prospective clients cannot independently verify individual auditor qualifications for ISO/IEC 42001 before engaging

Common questions
