Domo and VerifyWise appeared in the most answers in our AI governance snapshot, with each cited in 4 of 24 recorded answers. Those answers came from Google services responding to 9 selected UK buyer questions on 10 October 2026.
Which websites appeared most often?
The 24 answers contained 198 recorded links across 153 websites. A link could appear more than once in an answer. For the chart, we count each website only once per answer.
Domo and VerifyWise each appeared in 4 answers. ISMS.online, RevenueBase, Vanta and YouTube each appeared in 3. These counts describe the recorded answers, not the whole market.
What did the questions ask?
The questions covered buying help, choosing software, qualifications and writing an AI policy. They were selected buyer questions, not a survey of what everyone searches for.
| Question asked | Recorded answers | Recorded links |
|---|---|---|
| ai governance consultants that don't sell their own software | 3 | 29 |
| best ai governance platform uk | 3 | 23 |
| is there an actual qualification for ai governance | 2 | 14 |
How we counted the answers
We used Gemini 2.5 Flash through its search-enabled API, a software connection. AI Mode and AI Overviews came through our search-results collector. All are Google services.
Gemini and AI Mode covered every selected question. AI Overviews coverage was incomplete. A missing record is unknown, rather than an answer with no sources. The UK label describes the questions; the API run does not establish what a person browsing in the UK would see.
Website names come from each link’s address. We remove the opening www. but keep subdomains separate. The data file records the questions, captured links and method. This is a snapshot, so it cannot show whether a website’s visibility is rising or falling.
Use a citation as a starting point
Being cited does not prove that a firm is suitable for your work. This sample does not assess the accuracy of the answers, the quality of the organisations or how popular the services are.
Oliver Patel argues that subject knowledge matters when using AI. His view is useful context for checking an answer. It is separate from the findings above.
It’s hard to do anything remarkable with AI without first having subject matter expertise in the corresponding domain.
Where to go beyond the shortlist
For UK personal-data questions, the ICO’s AI guidance covers accountability, impact assessments and transparency. The ICO marks that guidance as under review after changes made by the UK Data (Use and Access) Act.
Use the guides below to work through the next decision: what an adviser does, whether software is enough, and how to check qualifications.
